This is too hilarious for me not to share. I am currently reading this interesting (to me, at least) interview with the New Girl showrunners, Liz Meriwether, Brett Baer, and David Finkel, which covers a lot of different topics. My favorite part is when they were asked what the most absurd note (from the network) they had received during their careers.

“Finkel: Last year I had a long conversation with our (awesome) Broadcast Standards and Practices person. The conversation went thusly:

BS&P: I’m not sure what this is, but I’m pretty sure you can’t say “B-Hole.” What does it stand for?
Me: Butthole.
BS&P: That’s what I thought. You can’t say that. We’re not comfortable with that.
Me: What can we say? Can we say A-hole?
BS&P: No. No. How about “butthole?” I’d be comfortable with that.
Me: (giggling) So we’re good with “butthole” but not “b-hole”?
BS&P: (giggling) Yes.

Sometimes I love this job.”

Damn Nature U Scary of the Day: “That’s the loudest noise I’ve ever heard. I thought Jesus was comin!” Twins outfielder Denard Span tweeted.

Span was of course referring to Sunday afternoon’s Thunderclap From Hell during the top of the fourth inning against the Rangers — it so terrified teammate Josh Willingham that he dropped to all fours. (Watch for him, he’s the runner on first.)

Everyone else on the field was content to run screaming for the dugout, and the game was delayed for 45 minutes.

This was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. The best part was that the Rangers’ infielders barely flinched, and when everyone else took off, they all stood around looking at the clouds. Those boys have become true Texans!
